| Editorial Reviews:
Amazon.com Review This heavy-duty pressure cooker's large capacity is probably best utilized for canning (though it would also be great for a number of cooking tasks). A pressure cooker is generally recommended when canning vegetables and nonacid fruit, since the high heat that can be generated will kill more bacteria than a regular hot water bath. Made from cast aluminum, with sturdy screws to seal the lid to the pot, this pressure cooker requires no rubber or plastic gaskets or rings. Its 21-1/2-quart capacity holds 19 pint jars or 7 quart jars. A three-setting pressure regulator valve is included, and the pressure gauge gives a clear reading. Made in Wisconsin, this is an American classic. --Julija Gelazis
Product Description All American has been making pressure canner cookers since 1930 and only All American Pressure Canners have an exclusive, precision machined "metal-to-metal" sealing system. Positive action clamping locks align the cover to the base, forming a steam-tight seal and permits easy opening and closing. Because there are no gaskets, you don't have to worry about a gasket cracking, burning or needing replacement in the middle of a canning project.
The All American Pressure Canner 921 can hold 19 pint or 7 quart jars. Perfect for canning large batches of vegetables meat and fish for use during cold months. The USDA recommends pressure canning as the only safe way to can vegetables, meat and fish.

so simple! September 3, 2010 great mom 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Never having canned before, I did a lot of research on what's out there including cooker/cans that were twice as expensive. Chose this because of reputation, size and features. Excellent product with a very good care book.
Extremely simply to operate even for a neophyte like me. This baby holds a lot and my success ratio on the first two tries was 100%. I did pressure canning of an Italian sauce with meat and then did the boiling method for homemade pickles. Again, all you have to do is simply follow the directions. I would emphaize the importance of filling your jars to between 1/2 and 1/4 of an inch from the top for success.
You will simply love this product. Now you can take some of your favorite items and preserve them for a year or more instead of having to fix them with a lot of frequency.
Canner Cooker August 27, 2010 Trish I have a canner from 1940 that had no pressure gauge on it. I could not find a replacement and therefore, had to purchase a new one. I am so happy that I did. This one is so much more up to date (of course) and I love it.
I do a large garden each year and love to put up all my own fruit and veggies. This is a wonderful tool.
Thanks so much
Top Notch August 19, 2010 Cooken Guy I love to use my caner to preserve homemade soup. Of course this unit works great, but I was afraid that I would have problems using it on a ceramic top stove. I started it on high until I built steam then lowered the temp slowly (maintaining the jiggle)until I got just below 50% (or a setting of 5)works great no trouble at all. To speed the time it takes to get to good steam I always "hot pack" my jars. Using 3 quarts of water in the bottom of the caner I get to good steam in about 10min. Like I said works great every time!
Well worth the price August 18, 2010 Coolhand 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Incredibly heavy duty- definite commercial quality and grade. Don't even think about getting one of those cheesy low end cheap pressure cookers (like Presto).
The All American is the top shelf pressure cooker.

This canner makes summer canning much easier. Follow the simple directions and voila! Perfectly canned goods for the winter!
