Product Description
Constructed like a piece of finely-crafted furniture, this hard rock sugar maple rack has an ultra-smooth surface and turns on industrial strength ball bearing swivels. Serious cooks will appreciate the 48 bottles it includes - a spice for every need (spices not included). The 3.5-oz. glass bottles have snap-on sifters, white screw-on caps and labels that are resistant to dampness as you wipe clean with a soft cloth.

5 out of 5 stars My Thoughts   March 11, 2010
Karen Mccoy (St. Cloud, MN USA)
This J.K.Adams spice carousel is the absolute KING of spice racks!!! I dearly love it not only for its usefulness (keeping all the spices easily accessable that anyone needs ), but also for its beauty. It is truly tastefully done, rife with quality and lovely to look at. I am so glad that I chose to spend the money, even though it definitely isn't cheap, it is worth every cent. Thank you guys for having this item for me. I truly appreciate it.

4 out of 5 stars excellent product   March 4, 2010

I love this new spice rack. Its beautiful and very well crafted. The containers are a nice size and the two different size sifters are great. The only reason I did not give this a 5 star is because of the labels. They give blank labels but with no software or information as to what the font or anything is. I am in midst of making my own labels but am having a tough time trying to match the font and print it off. It looks to nice in my kitchen not to have all the labels match. Other than that I coulnt have asked for a better product. Definitely worth the money if you are in the kitchen enough and need to store this many spices!!

3 out of 5 stars almost perfect   February 25, 2010

This rack holds a lot of spices in 1/3 the space of every multi-rack idea I could come up with. It takes up a fair chunk of the counter, and rises up to just 1/2 an inch below the cabinets, but it's so much better than having my spices exposed to light in a wall rack, digging through a cabinet where you can only see the 5 bottles in the front, or losing 3 square feet of counterspace to multiple smaller racks. The price tag was STEEP though, and it really held me off buying it for a long time.

I'd give it 5 stars, but that's reserved for products that go above and beyond to delight the customer. The makers of this rack short change us and the insensitivity to detail made them lose big on this item. It may seem petty, but for $170 I was super peeved that I would have had to hand-write so many labels. When you get to the point where you need to spend that much money to hold that many spices, it's a fair bet it's because you cook with more than parsley and garlic salt. They could have easily and very inexpensively included just one more sheet of labels to cover the major spices used by over 2/3 of the planet's population. Plus, many spices are used ground, whole, or in flakes, but there's only one label for each name. So what if someone ends up with a label for fenugreek powder and doesn't need it because they only use leaves? It's better than no label at all. The rack ended up costing an extra $25 for label stock and an afternoon making my own full set so the font would match. It lost a full star for the steep price tag and another for the short sheeting on labels with such a steep price tag.

That being said, the construction is indeed excellent and it looks like it will last a very long time.

5 out of 5 stars Great size, Sturdy, Good Quality!   January 6, 2010

Even though we didn't want to put so much money into a spice rack, we are huge cooks and ultimately needed a large spice rack. This rack holds a large amount of spices, is really well made, turns well, and good quality. Only downfall is that the jars are slightly smaller than your standard spice jar AND your standard spice jar will not fit in the rack. Therefore, we now have a lot of "extra" bottles of spices stored in our pantry.

3 out of 5 stars Good quality but too expensive   November 23, 2009

Pros
----
1. Good quality construction, with a ball-bearing turnable
2. Solid wood, not veneer
3. Holds the most spice jars that I have seen (48); there's no other spice rack like it.

Cons
----
1. Glass jars are smaller than a standard spice jars (*)
2. Ball-bearing turnable is very noisy when it turns
3. Glass spice jars are also cheap, which degrade the overall product quality
4. Screw-on plastic lids are cheap, which again degrade the overall product quality
5. Wood color doesn't look like the picture; it's a very natural wood color.
5. Wood pieces are not made of a whole wood plank; several small wood planks are joined/glued together to create a wood piece
6. Too expensive! Should be less than $100.00

(*) In fact, rather than using the spice jars that it comes with; I use the nice McCormick spice glass jars by inserting them upside down so they can fit.
